When I first received the book Daughters in My Kingdom, I was skeptical about it being a “good read.” Once I started, I was hooked from the start. I loved Chapter 1 when Elder James E. Talmage stated, “The world’s greatest champion of woman and womanhood is Jesus the Christ.” I testify that He knows and loves me as an individual, a daughter of my Heavenly Father. This book was inspired and truly needed at this time.
I really liked the quote by Lucy Mack Smith: “We must cherish one another, watch over one another, comfort one another, and gain instruction, that we may sit down in Heaven together.” I think of some of the sisters that have passed before us that I would so love to sit at their feet and hear more of their stories.
